Then I STARTED MY FIRST DAY of Running training. The 8 week course for beginners.
Which meant I walked.
Here. In my field of dreams in my backyard in Cold Spring, NY.
I did the 30 minute walk, briskly, very briskly through our field and then into the woods. I was sweating and it was a beautiful fall’ish day here. I find that walking fast, with a purpose, the intent to raise the heart-rate is actually very challenging. The motion almost gets so awkward that I want to run. So, that’s a good thing. When soon I start alternating walking with running.
Off to a promising start.
Also, my iPod touch was on “shake to shuffle”. Not recommended. As each slight bounce jiggled the Ipod and changed the song. It was a bit manic.
